Responsibilities

Position: RN/Medical Office 

The essential duties and responsibilities of the RN/Medical Office include:

-Supporting patient initiatives by maintaining an environment of safety for patients, self and others
-Documenting entries into the patient's medical record 
-Initiating communications to the patients according to their individualized needs, including instructions, planning and triaging
-Preparing patients and assisting the physician in assessing and examining the patients including assessing the patient's safety needs
-Assisting the physician in performing diagnostic procedures and treatments, administering medications and performing related tasks 
-Documenting the safety and effectiveness of the patient care equipment into the logs 
-Performing disinfecting procedures
-Cleaning and maintaining examination rooms and other assigned areas
-Participating in performance and quality improvement activities
-Recognizing, supporting, and utilizing evidence based nursing practices and adhering to the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics

Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Candidate is required to have a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina (RN NC LIC).


It is preferred that the candidate have a Bachelor's degree (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing and have previous medical office experience.
